Manufacturing Facilities CCC has developed a software program to handle custom specifications for cable assemblies. A bill of material is stored
for each customer's cable I.D. including the pin-outs, pairing, color coding, labeling, assembly instructions and test signature. This program assures that the customers cable
assemblies are consistently built with the correct pin-outs specifications, parts and cable. The system interacts with our computerized inventory to help maintain an adequate supply of
parts on hand to satisfy customer's delivery requirements. The cable measuring, counting, cutting & coiling operation is aided by a variety of cable handling machines from a
programmable unit to a cable spooler that is used for re-spooling shorter lengths of cable from master reels.
THE COPPER DEPARTMENT High-speed precision cutting machine both cuts and strips cables quickly and accurately.
Programmable strip machines with memory can produce a 3 stage
coaxial strip accurate to within .001" in less than 7 seconds. A wide variety of strippers produce accurate
strips up to 1" diameter for optimum connector attachment.
Stripper-crimper machines with applicators for various connector types, accurately and efficiently strip the insulation & crimp the contacts to individual conductors for hhigh density "D-sub" and V.35 connectors.
Modular plug presses crimp both ends of a patch cord and test it in one operation.Semi-automatic insertion machines which attach conductors to insulation displacement connectors are used for champ, telco (cat 3 &;5), SCSI 1, 2 , 3 & .050 connectors.
THE FIBER DEPARTMENT Pneumatic crimp tool with interchangeable dies allows precise crimping of the ferrule strain relief for all cables.
Programmable stripper for fiber optic
cable removes outer jacket, cuts kevlar, and strips buffer coating precisely to less than .0001" in accuracy. Internal memory stores
specifications for up to 99 connector / cable combinations.Fiber optic polisher handles up to 12 connectors, yielding PC, SPC, UPC or APC finish. Diamond lapping film on
ceramic ferrules insures undercut of less than 0.5 micron.
QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT Because we know that there is never a convenient time for your cables to fail we have stringent quality control procedures. We test and inspect every single cable.
Fiber optic cables are 100% tested for DB insertion loss, assuring maximum performance. All cable assemblies are tested for position and continuity
and then inspected for Hardware, strain relief, etc. The equipment will test up to 256 points and can be programmed to learn any cable, printing a hard copy as required.
